Smiles with Bright and Cheerful Croton

Crotons are simply stunning with its bright colours and it adds a sense of cheerfulness into its surroundings.

Crotons are certainly eye catching plants suitable for the outdoors, it will add cheerfulness, brightness and colour splash to your garden and patio.

Their thick leaves range from the greens with red, orange, yellow and pink, it has a waxy outlook that’s almost seems like an artificial plant.

Crotons also known as “Joseph’s Coat”, it does not like over-watering as it causes the leaves to fall and their roots to rot therefore always ensure the soil’s dry out before each watering (Neal 2012).

Crotons need lots of light from all directions to grow that bright colourful foliage else they turn dark green when sun light is not sufficient or when light source is only coming from one direction (Schrock 2004). Crotons are also prone to mealy bugs hence it needs constant monitoring.
