Put Your Imagination to Work

Using QR Code as ID Tag

Has your cute pet dog somehow run astray a couple of times? Your lovely dog is the best buddy, they are not called Man’s best friend for no reasons, and for sure they would not like to be separated from their caring owners.

QR code is also capable to encode 8 bit characters such as Chinese or Japanese Kanji characters. Therefore what’s the use for domestic home owners?

One of the many uses of QR code would be the storing of your pet dog’s name and the owners contact info into a QR code as an ID tag, on your dog’s collar.

Decoding of the QR codes can be done through mobile phone devices as imaging barcode scanners are readily available these days.

QR code was an invention by Denso Wave of Japan in 1994. It is a 2D matrix barcode that is able to hold large amount information and readable by a scanner in both horizontal and vertical directions.

It is one of the simplest ways to have your hyper pet dog returned to you in the event that they are running around and somehow got separated from you.
